Includes precept to summon a jury of inquest; subpoenas; testimonies of witnesses at the inquest on the body of John Love, 24 Feb. 1824; examinations of the three Thayers; record of conviction of Israel and Isaac Thayer, 19 Apr. 1825; and the sheriff's order for a military guard at the Thayers' execution, 18 May 1825. Also, a diagram of the highway leading up to the 18 mile creek to the village of Boston showing locations of structures, foot paths, and other pertinent information concerning the vicinity of the murder. Several of the subpoenas relate to legal matters involving the Thayers before the murder of John Love.
